 FeaturesHigh Speed Duplex Scanning and Durability The DS-70000 scans at impressive speeds of 70 ppm (simplex) and 140 ipm (1-pass duplex). The fast speed results in significant improvement in office productivity, as DS-70000 is rated for a high daily duty cycle of 8,000 pages. Reliable and Convenient ADF With its high capacity of 200-sheet ADF, it readily accepts a wide variety of standard or thin paper documents with a paper document size less than A6 (between 60 and 190 gsm) and all other sizes between 50 and 128 gsm. It is fitted with an ultrasonic sensor which prevents double-feeding and alerts you if there is a mis-feed. Easy File Management The DS-70000 is bundled with professional software that allows you to easily manage your scanned files. - For Windows users: Document Capture Pro The software allows you to easily scan, view, edit, save and transfer scanned documents. It can optically recognises barcodes, characters and blank pages in scanned documents to separate sections into different folders. It also provides quick access to post-scan destinations, including scan-to-print, email, Windows™ Public Folder, FTP Web Folder, and Scan-to-Cloud services such as Microsoft® SharePoint Server, Evernote®, and Google® Docs™. The software supports up to 30 customisable job settings. - For Mac users: Epson Event Manager (This application supports USB only. Network option is not supported.) The software facilitates regular scanning on Mac computers with one pre-defined and supports up to 10 customisable jobs. - For both Windows and Mac users: ABBYY FineReader (Windows: version 9, Mac: version 8) The OCR software enables searchable content on your scanned PDFs for greater productivity. The languages supported are English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese only. Optional Network Support With optional network interface panel, the DS-70000 can be shared amongst a work group without the need for USB connections. Users can easily select desired PC within the network via Document Capture Pro (for Windows platform users) or Epson Event Manager (for Mac platform users) application installed on client or server PC. Fast and Flexible A3 Scanning The DS-70000 is equipped with a high resolution of 1200 dpi CCD sensor and fast scanning speed of 300 dpi that captured images, graphics, and text in clarity and accuracy. This flatbed scanner allows you to quickly and easily scan A3-sized and wide-format documents such as maps, drawings, or large bound books and even odd-shaped articles. The book spine correction scan is a new feature for Windows platform users only to correct shadow and curvature around book spines. Powerful and Comprehensive Epson Scan Features The Epson Scan suite of function includes numerous useful and innovative capabilities such as: - PDF/A-1b (ISO) Compliant Files - Stores original font size and maintains scans as an original copy. - Power Off Timer Setting - Save power consumption by programming the scanner to Power Off after being idle for a set time. - Colour Enhancement & Colour Dropout - Pick one of the preset colours (red, green, blue, pink, purple, yellow, or orange) or use customised settings to remove or enhance the visibility of ink signatures, "Confidential" and "Urgent" stamps. This feature can also enhance or dropout multiple colours (maximum five) with one pass. Save Time, Money and the Environment  The DS-70000 is Energy Star® certified as it comes with a power-saving sleep mode that reduces energy consumption. With its energy-saving LED light sources that require zero warm-up time, power consumption is greatly reduced and still able to provide instant responsive scanning result.
